Participants attend the Dehiwela medical camp
Sunera, in collaboration with Sarvodaya, with funding from the Jewish Joint Distribution Council, has set up medical camps for all our workshops across the country. Every Sunera participant will be examined by a doctor, who will then register them with the medical camp programme. These participants are issued with a referral card which entitles them to medical attention and/or medication with their local doctor/hospital.
The first and second phases of the medical camps project has now been completed and was a success. This is the first time Sunera has carried out such work and both participants and parents feel it was a positive and helpful step by Sunera.
The third phase of the medical camps will commence in 2009.
