Every Sunera participant will be examined by a doctor, who will then register them with the medical camp programme. These participants are issued with a referral card which entitles them to medical attention and/or medication with their local doctor/hospital.

Sunera’s award winning production “The Last Two Minutes” goes on the boards in Hambantota and Galle on May 26th and 27th respectively. Tickets are priced at Rs. 75, 50 and 10.

In Colombo, the play will be staged at the Bishop’s College Auditorium on May 29th and 30th. Tickets will be available at Sunera Foundation and at Bishop’s College from May 11. Tickets are priced at Rs. 500, 350, 200 and 50.

“The Last Two Minutes” is a brand new production only staged once in Italy. The cast includes participants from Sunera’s Tsunami Theatre Outreach Project (TTOP).

With the successful completion of the pilot project in March 2007, Sunera Foundation in partnership with the CWDF (Citizen Welfare Development Foundation) continues to offer free performing arts workshops in Maskeliya and Hatton for young persons with disabilities. Funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 12 workshops will be conducted weekly in the upcountry tea plantations. In addition, 2 Street Theatre Groups will be established and major performances will be staged to showcase the talents of the disabled while raising awareness of their human rights.
