Performances coming up in Matara!

Date - 12th September

Time - 2 - 3.30pm

Venue - Rahula College, Matara

The South Coast workshops will be performing dance and drama items.  The Akuressa workshops will perform “Apooru Thegga” which will be directed and produced by Menaka Priyadharshana.  The Dennipitiya workshop will perform “Wahallu”, which will be directed and produced by Danusha Stella.  And, the Matara workshop will perform “Thoona Hamarai”, which will be directed and produced by Chandana Vasantha.

 There will also be three dance items that afternoon, so why not come along and enjoy all the performances?!

Capacity Building Trainers in Galle

On 15th August 2009, Theatre and TV personality, Richard Manamudali, provided training to the Trainers of our Galle workshops.  Two trainers and two helpers received inputs on how best to organize and conduct an effective and fruitful workshops.  This one day workshop was well received by the trainers.

Sunera/Amurt Livelihood Project

    Livelihood Project for workshop parents in the Galle District – Sunera has gone into partnership with a Japan based INGO called AMURT to take the therapeutic benefits of horticulture to the workshop parents of our Galle workshops.

A TOT session was held on 9th July 2009 to give the necessary skills and inputs to the parents to encourage them to use horticulture at home as a means of relaxation and livelihood, for themselves and their children.
