Sunera performs for the British Council

The British Council in Sri Lanka celebrated 60 years in Sri Lanka this year and to mark this occasion, Sunera was invited to be part of the activities.

 Sunera Chairperson, Sunethra Bandaranaike was invited to address the 40 plus delegates from around the world on “Sri Lankan Focus on Disability” at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel on 28th April.

ON the same day, Sunera’s Kurunegala Workshop performed a play titled “Face to Face ” for the delegates and invitees at the British Council auditorium.

The audience clapped and cheered and could not get enough of the performance or the participants.

After the performance, Director of the British Council in Sri Lanka, Gill Westaway presented Sunera Chairperson, Sunethra Bandaranaike with a cheque from the proceeds of ticket sales for Martin Taylor’s Jazz concert in February 2009.

Well done to the cast and the very big thank you to the British Council for inviting us to be part of their celebrations.
