The Sunera Foundation’s Charity Dinner of the Year, held on September 4, proved to be an enormous success and raised more than 3 million rupees. This money will be used to support important Sunera program which benefit more than 600 differently-abled children and their families across ten districts.

More than 460 guests turned out to the Colombo Plaza Hotel’s sumptuous Oak Room, and thrilled to the sounds of British jazz sensation Barb Jungr. Delighted guests called for a repeat performance and, by all accounts, the standard has been set for a stunning annual event.
Headline guest Barb Jungr summed up the mood of the evening when she said, “Artistic expression liberates the psyche and soul of the individual, and this is of increasing importance in times of crisis or in people for whom usual forms of expression are limited.”
